I looked it up on Google Maps and the instructions were spot on. When we turned off the main road, down a green glade road and it was lovely. There was a huge carpark, free to members. From the carpark, you walk across through the...More

Benthall and its estate has been under the umbrella of the National Trust for 60 years but its the wonderful story behind the scenes that is most endearing. This property was saved by Mary Clementina Benthall and it now can be viewed in honour to...More

Terrific grounds with well manicured lawn and excellent gardens. The house itself is interesting (albeit limited) especially the wood carvings and the three legged chair. The outdoor area for the cafe is indeed very pleasant - the service slow and actually very painful. We think...More

It was raining when we visited so we concentrated on the church and the house, both of which were lovely. As we went round the Hall we followed the story of the life of Mary Clementina Benthall who saved it from demolition. The church was...More

Drove quite a way to get here and when we arrived was very disappointed. The house to me was not very interesting and there is not a great deal to see, the walled garden was empty, it just looked a very uncared for house.

A lovely little manor house - worth a visit to find out some of the local history and see the restoration efforts that have been going on. Some fascinating features and delightful gardens.

Very enthusiastic volunteers who are happy to tell you the stories behind the walls. Not the biggest of houses and some parts off limits as family still live on site Cafe has delicious cakes.

Being locals and members of the NT we visited again on Easter Monday. Parking facilities very good. We like the use of the old church as the entrance. Staff/volunteers we encountered were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately due to the bad weather the café...More

Combined with a lovely walk from Ironbridge up to Benthall Hall, then back via Broseley on. Surprisingly sunny Easter Sunday. Great walk through the woods, although we got a bit lost as trying to do the NT walk, but reversing the directions as we started...More
