Unimaginably beautiful beach and equally stunning surroundings. Nestor’s mythical palace is visible from the beach and is a brisk 45 minute uphill climb to explore the marvellous ruins. One can only imagine if services were permitted what a world class beach this would be. Unfortunately...More

We visited this beach at the end of the afternoon - when we arrived it was incredibly busy but thankfully as the day drew to a close most folk left. There were possibly about thirty of us left for sunset and it was peaceful. Sadly...More

The beach was totally stunning, only a few other bathers, the water crystal clear and perfect temperature. Easily comparable with some Thai beaches and protected, so no loungers, umbrellas or hawkers allowed- perfect. We went in mid September, no rubbish, a few fag butts (grrrr...)...More

It really is as stunning as the pictures lead you to imagine. BUT, hurry if you want to get there as it is so popular and nowadays crammed that it is quickly becoming spoiled. When will humans take their rubbish with them?

Vanessa it's about 15 minutes by car from Pylos. You'd either have to take a taxi and have them return to pick you up, which is costly, or rent a motorbike.
