If you want to see flamingoes, rice fields and suntan + swim in the sea, I recommend going to l'eucaliptus beach (it has one shower at the end of the beach, where road starts and really few people in compare to other beaches. Then you...More

Nice place, a curiosity for those who never seen a rise plantation. A lot of birds, so it may be interesting for birds watchers. Pleasant 45 min or longer boat trip to the place of the river overflowing into the Mediterranean. In some 2-3 km...More

The delta is now turning green as the rice planting is starting to show above the water. A lot of the flamingos have move on until the winter when they return again. The many beaches are starting to see the influx of the summer tourists....More

I expected many more birds than we were able to see , The season was late April , Some Egrets and the Flamingoes at a distance and black Ibis , Coots and black headed gulls were everywhere. A few Heron , some avocets on one...More

Visit the information centre at Deltaebre in the morning it closes about 1pm. Local produce for sale there as well as good information on natural environment birdwatching and tourist trips. This was a repeat visit and we would go again.

Just drive about ten kilometers east from Sant Carles de la Ràpila east on the narrow road nearest the see shore and there they are - many hundreds of flamingos together with various kinds of storks and other sea birds in the salt water ponds...More
