Got a taxi from Alghero shared between 4 - we got off at the marina and wandered, finding the Basilica and spending a good hour there, alone. Almost as beautiful outside as inside.

Basilica San Gavino is a beautiful and interesting Roman church. Definately worth a visit, do not miss it being around.

One of the stops on a cruise. Situated at the top of the main road through the town. Nice building with an interesting crypt. In my mind the only place of interest in Porto Torres.

Large and well looked after church, a sheet of information in English provided, we were also able to go down into the crypt.
