This was a bucket list trip with friends and it did not disappoint. Between Captain Bruno and Chef Julian they made the trip better than could have imagined. They went above and beyond to make sure every moment was memorable from the kiting to the food experience.

Fabulous kite cruise!! Very very nice meetings with other participants! And an extraordinary tandem crew! Tjs with little care to please, very attentive during kite sessions... in short! Without faults .. and many emotions to separate!

My wife and I booked a May 2024 10-day cruise sailing from Martinique. This was a bucket list trip for me, and I was not disappointed - It was truly everything I hoped it would be. Our captain (Lucas) was professional, accommodating and just fun to be around. Our Chef (Dominik) was an amazing individual with creative, great meals. These guys were both awesome kiters and extremely helpful. The places we dropped anchor were beautiful and the kiting was great - Winds were consistently around 15 Kts, so foil board or big kite/board were required. Can't express in words what a great time we had. HUGE THANK YOU to Chris, Jana, Lucas and Dominik. Review from Chris and Andrea

I think this is the best way to discover the Grenadines. Sailing to paradisical islands, snorkel and kitesurf when you can and enjoying great food and company on board. Thanks to the hardworking and always smiling crew of Jana, Bruno and Alex.

I've been on a Kat & Kit trip in St. Vincent and the Grenadines with Watersports Training. It was an memorable trip in a beautiful region. Saling on a catamaran is more comfortable than expected and I always felt in good hands with our experienced skipper Chris and his crew Jana. They are fun and easy going people, but also experienced professionals. The most islands are only accessable by boat, so all the destinations we have visited where never much crowded with people. Depending on the wind and the mood of the team, we’ve shipped from island to island and visited almost every day another beautiful bay or lagoon. If you’re searching for amazing kite spots, then this kind of trip should be on your bucket list. Starting from a catamaran and kite surfing alone in a lagoon is phantastic. Having lobster BBQ at the beach in one of the local restaurants was another highlight. Thank you Chris and Jana for that great journey.

We had a fantastic time with Chris and Jana! The locations were beautiful, the boat was incredibly nice, and the food/rum was delicious. I will miss Jana’s cooking 😩. Our group struggled a bit with the lighter winds we had, but Chris and Jana were super helpful and patient with us. 10/10 would book with them again!

Wow wow wow all I can say is this was one of the best trips I’ve ever taken, it was so different in that we had to be flexible because of wind conditions but the scenery and the places were world class and best of all……. the crew your Javie and Vickie were amazing. we had 7 different countries representative and we all got along great it was the trip of a lifetime. I would do it again in a secon. when we dock the boat at Martinique I said I would go right back and repeat the whole trip over again!!!

The boat is awesome, the crew was super cool, and the places were amazing. Not to mention the wind... and the beautiful beaches and scenery... Perfect kiteboarding conditions!

Just a couple of pointers. When we where there, the boat didn´t have A/C, which at night is annoying when it got hot. We opened the windows in the cabin, which cooled off nicely, but when it rained we had to wake up at 2am to close the window, and then the heat started building up... Not so nice... Not sure what could be done, but I would definitely bring the issue up with the captain before scheduling the trip.

Another pointer, the first sail leaving St. Lucia, as well as the returning sail back to St. Lucia are long (6-8hrs) and on rough seas... Several people got sea-sick on both trips. So if you are not a fan of open sea sailing, I would recommend trying to catch the boat somewhere else, maybe Union Island? Specially if you´d like more days kiteboarding (there´s no kiteboarding those first and last days).

Last pointer, the fridge to keep cool drinks and beers is very small, it barely stores a couple of sixpacks and very few bottles. Considering 10 adults (8 guests + 2 crew), a week long vacation and few spots to buy and refill on drinks, it´s something to think about and consider how to deal with. Oh, and there´s no ice... or very few space to make ice... So something extra to think about.

Nonetheless, it´s a great trip, and I´m looking forward to repeating the trip again.

Hope this helps!

The trip was a great experience but truly below expectations in terms of boat conditions, service and kite gear conditions and selection.
Its a rustic rustic, basic trip, no luxury of any kind should be expected.

We had a "confirmed booking" for the Kayenne boat. Thats the one you see on the website with the North logos. It looks fine there. Its all the reference we had before booking the trip. And as it is advertised in their website, and I quote "From the comfort of a luxury catamaran" we really expected a luxury catamaran.

Somehow with no prior notice from Richard (the company owner), we end up in a boat named Elise. Supposedly because the Kayenne was under repair. ???
The Elise catamaran is pretty beat up, poorly maintained, and dirty. Very far away from a Luxurious Catamaran as offered in the website.
We couldn't sail on the starboard side because the backstay was broke. 2 days to have it repaired.
Bathrooms, windows, beds, sitting cushions, sails, kitchen, dishes, even the dinghy, all is beat up, old, broke, dirty. Again, the complaint comes form the way they offer the trip in a Luxury Catamaran.

The generator failed on our 2nd day so we had 24 hrs with no generator and thus no water maker so no fresh water. We had to fill the fresh water tank in little martinique island. I don’t know about the water standards there but just at looking the "dock" facilities I would never drink out of that water if not by lack of options such as this case.
As all the food was included in the package we assumed that drinking water was too. Who wouldn't? But the drinking water comes out from the water maker -thats fine if the WM works- but when you don’t have a water maker and when you have to refill from an untrustworthy source I would have expected to get bottle water from the boat operator. But no, we had to buy ourselves all our drinking water or risk to drink out from the tank filled with water from a rustic whose in little martinique.

Suddenly the Kayenne boat shows up in Tobago Keys with Richard on board.
As no explanations were made by him, I must assume he choose the best boat for himself and left the oldest boat to us, regardless of the confirmed booking on the Kayenne. As we never got to go on board of the Kayenne I can't say is in much better condition than the Elise. At least from the outside it looks better and its a little bigger. Surely its a newer model. And probably thats the Luxurious Boat he offers in his website, but we got and old and dirty boat instead, but he certainly collected the full fare from us.

I do consider this a a serious breach of the booking conditions and a serious matter to consider before booking with this company.

They should have informed us about the change and request our approval to be on a different older boat. Just as if you book a beach front suite at any hotel and when you arrive they give you a no window standard room in the little hotel across the street because your room was booked to someone else. No prior notice, no explanation, and no refund or compensation of any kind. I think this is a scam and a malicious offer.

For a 10 day trip on a “comfort luxury" boat as Caribbean Kite Cruise advertises you would expect some minimum "luxuries" of course. Sheets and linens are very basic, they were clean when we board, but for a 10 day trip you would expect at least one change for fresh towels and linens. No extra linens or towels were provided. You get only one medium towel per guest for the whole trip. No beach towels.

Expect to have NO ice on the trip unless you buy your own in the islands at very high prices. This boat was supposedly equipped with an ice maker. The truth is that the ice maker, doesn’t make ice. Its too small and will probably make 10 little cubes every 3 hours, if the generator works. (The captain was not very keen to have the generator working as it could fail again and of course it consumes Diesel) So its better to buy bags of cubed ice in the islands. Expect to pay around $15 usd per bag of ice of 10lbs aprox.
I would consider that having ice for the drinks and beers should be a basic "luxury " included in the trip as you are sailing in the Caribbean were its hot and humid, but no, is Not included, surprise. Just as bottle water is not.

We also choose this company because it makes you think that they have a partnership with North kites, such as the Carinha Quest Cat with Cabrinha gear, so you expect to get good gear and in a wide selection for ALL the paying guests.
The advertise: “We are the official "North Kiteboarding Catamaran" so you don't have to worry about who you're dealing with.”
Our main reason to do this trip was to kite. And we decided not bring our own gear due to the fact that this was a North endorsed boat. On the North Kites website there is no reference to this charter company as an official endorsed company. So I have asked North about it. No response yet. Curious to find out their response.

But the truth is you get pretty wear kites and in a very very limited selection of sizes. Forget about choosing different models.
The boards are also in a very poorly condition, all beat up and the foot straps were ready for the junk yard months ago. I have used many equipment elsewhere and I understand that rental gear wears but if you pay this supposedly North endorsed kite cruise you would expect at least:
A wide selection of kites. We had only 5 functioning kites. And we were 5 kiters. There were another 2 kites on board but with no bars. And as they needed 5 line bars we couldn't use them.
We had 3 12m, 1 15m and 1 10m, if we all need a 12m we had to share! On a Kite trip with ALL gear included! That's unacceptable. They offer this: “A wide selection of 2016 test boards and kites are available on board”. I guess we must have a different meaning for the word “wide”, as I think the selection was very “limited”.
Same on boards. They are just in awful condition.
So I suggest to anyone doing this trip with this unreliable company to bring their own gear if you really want to have good gear. Bring 2 kites for different wind ranges and your board. Its worth the effort and the extra expense. As the gear they offer will only frustrate you, and its a complete lie that they have a wide selection of 2016 gear.

On the good side of the trip is that the locations are incredibly exotic. The kiting conditions were good for 5 days with winds over 13 knts.
You have it all, flat water, sandbars, waves, downwinders. We brought our own foil and it was great to foil in light winds and such exotic places.
I don't think its a good choice if you plan to learn how to kite. Conditions are difficult and expect very small progress. If you are a good kiter its a fantastic place. Warm water, warm wind.

We had a good experience with the crew.
Luca the chef and kite instructor was a very nice guy and a very good cook. He did miracles on a old, poorly equipped kitchen. He really made our trip a better one.
Quentin the skipper was also very nice although it was his first experience with this company and this boat. But he did his best to attend our demands and push himself to make it a great trip. He also managed to fix all malfunctioning issues on the boat.
For sure he is a good skipper to have in this tricky waters of the Caribbean.

I would have also choose a different route and get to know Mustique and Bequia as well Instead of spending 3 days at Union/little Martinique were kiting is nothing else than a bay full of boats. Or Mayro were there is a very nice bay with fun waves, but if there is no wind you are bored to death.
But docking at Bequia and Mustique is more expensive and thats why they dont take you there. Don’t believe their statement about being flexible to suit your needs. They want you to stay as much as possible in one spot so they don’t have to move, and consume fuel. Also it means the boat needs to navigate more, (not much as all islands are very close. 3hrs navigation max) which means more fuel and probably more pay for the crew.
So I would prefer to charter a boat where you have the flexibility of choosing where you want to be, even if you have to pay a little more.

So if you are planing on a rustic trip with no luxury and if you don’t care much about the gear you will use for the kite go ahead, and make sure you get what you paid for. We did not and nothing we can do now.

I think you can get a much better deal shopping around other charter boats-cheaper and more quality- and have a greater experience. And if you bring your own gear or find a place to rent good gear down here will improve your odds greatly.

At the end of the day my conclusion is that this charter company does not deliver what they promise. The sale pitch on their website is good. You engage with it, BUT its all a lie.

I would like to offer our sincere apologies to Mr Hernandez who is our first and hopefully last disappointed guest. This situation arose as we had to replace the reserved catamaran at the last minute due to gearbox failure. In order to save Mr. Hernandez trip we were able to organise a replacement boat which was preferred to cancelling the trip. I would like to take this opportunity to mention that this is the first time we have been forced to switch boats and that we have never cancelled a clients departure. I am however shocked by Mr Hernandez description of the replacement vessel. 'Elise' is our original catamaran that is featured in the NORTH Kiteboarding videos 'Catching Trade winds' and recently 'Beyond' with 5 x world champion Aaron Hadlow. 'Elise' is our original catamaran and is reponsible for 90% of all Trip Advisor reviews which until now have been very positive. (We have only had 'Kayenne' in the fleet since 2015). From this post I have come to understand that the term 'Luxury' may not have the same meaning for everyone. We have used this term in our product description for 5 years and luckily 99% of our guests agree with our definition ;-) This post covers too many issues to cover here in detail and I urge readers to contact me directly if they would like to discuss any concerns in detail. We are proud of our reputation and always strive to give our guests 100% satisfaction.

This is my second time doing a kite cruise with Richard and his crew. I would have rated this 10 stars if I could! We had an epic time with my friends sailing from Greneda to Union and then around. The scenery is straight out of the Pirates of the Caribbean, and so are the good times we've had. Kite spots are cool, food was AMAZING (thank you Danny, you are the best!), captain was cool (thank you Alessio!) and thanks Richard for hanging out with us. I will never forget this trip and I've already been highly recommending it to everyone I know.
