Go early and use the shuttle system. Do not expect wilderness or privacy or quiet. This place is busy! Do some hiking and you will be glad you went.

In my opinion this is the most beautiful of the Utah national parks. There is a free shuttle from the town of Springdale, just south of the park, which takes you to the park entrance. From there the National Park Service has a free shuttle...More

Zion National Park is not a huge park but the scenery is spectacular. There are many hiking trails at different difficulty levels - ranging from very easy to fairly difficult. The shuttles are great to reach various parts of the park.

The natural beauty in this park is amazing but unfortunately it gets way to many visitors resulting in long lines to get through the entrance and onto the park shuttle. There are also lines to start the trail to popular hikes like Angels landing.

Most of hre canyons of the west are viewed from the rim looking down, but in Zion you are driving on the floor on the canyon looking up. The native peoples call it "straight up land" and it is. Majestic formations rise above the Virgin...More

Walked the Lower Pool Train and the River Trail. There are a variety of hiking options in the park. These were selected by our Road Scholar tour and provided two wonderful experiences in the park.

As long as the shuttle bus service is running, the main road is not open to other vehicles in many areas. If you drive and park at the visitor center, be sure to ask them which roads are open to non-shuttle bus traffic.There... More
