Amazing beach! Water is warm and wasn’t too crowded when I was there mid week. Great beach close to downtown.

It is okay to stop by just to say you visited Waikiki beach but if you really want to enjoy a less crowded beach - go to Magic Island or to the south or north coast.

Actually, I found Waikiki Beach to be quite an ordinary beach, but in a wonderful setting. Lots of palm trees and bushes behind the beach and Diamond Head looming in the background. The beach is not overly wide and a breakwater fifty yards out is...More

We had not been to Waikiki Beach for maybe 10 years so it was great fun the visit all the places we loved back then. All but one is still there! Great shopping and dining and of course the beach.

This beach is great for swimming and beginner surfers. The swimming is nice and relaxing they also have a few areas that have been rock walled for the little kids to swim in. Some still get little waves but they are really small only half...More

Waikiki has too many buildings and the beach was too crowded. Went to swim near the Duke Statue and too many rocks. Waikiki is definitely not the Hawaii I have thought of.

If you are looking for the tourists then this is the place for you. If not, then drive further down to find beautiful, serene beaches along the way.
