The weather wasn't so great - which you can't control - but it was a nice walk nonetheless. The totems are interesting and there are placards near each to explain the significance. Very picturesque with the water views and benches for resting if you need...More

This guided walk by "Janine" brought us here after our RAINY visit at the Raptor Center. Wonderful walk in the forest, over the stream lined with dying salmon. I have only seen this on TV - what an amazing process. Beautiful Totems to be appreciated....More

To get to the park, you just take a leisurely stroll along a paved walkway. It is not a long or difficult walk. It is a very nice walk with things to see along the way. You will enjoy it, even in the rain.🙂

We flew into Sitka and self-directed our entire vacation, so I can't speak to what the cruise may offer. However, we walked to the park in the rain from our hotel and did the tour on our own. It is free and self-guided. The trail itself is flat. And awesome! We took a cab to the hotel from the airport but other than that, we walked EVERYWHERE the entire time we were there. And we're in our 40's and NOT in the best shape! You're at sea level so walking is pretty easy.
