If you are a fan of historic homes, then this is the neighborhood for you. It's easy to stroll the streets and take in the homes which are a mixture of sizes and styles. Most have gorgeous, lush yards as well.

Really doable by car or walking, really nice architecture for an hour or so. Not a lot to go into - sorta like the Garden District in NOLA, but on a much smaller scale.

This area is restricted. No tour buses. We took a carriage ride that was limited to 2 square blocks.

This is a small quaint area just south of downtown San Antonio. Whether you walk or drive this area you feel like you're going back in time. Gorgeous restored homes along tree lined streets is just a really nice adventure.

This is a very pretty area to visit, filled with some amazing old houses. We toured one of the properties, which is open to the public, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We were lucky enough to find street parking one weekday afternoon and took a walk through the King William Historic District. We saw some interesting architecture, but the area was rather small for being a district. This area is not the historic district of Mobile,...More

My wife and I walked through this section of town to admire the beautiful homes, the variety of architecture and the extensive landscaping. It seems so serene yet just blocks from the hustle and bustle of a major city.

The homes are not open for tours. It's a neighborhood self walking tour so I presume you can go at anytime before dark.

We didn’t see a visitor center- we walked from the Riverwalk and all around the area looking at the historic homes.
