Staying nearby and we walked to the Alamo around noon. Quite crowded at that hour with large school groups arriving. Admission is free but we added listening devices which worked well by entering the display number. You could spend a full day there just going...More

An interesting look at Texas history with emphasis on the Alamo and the fight there. Despite a downtown location it is well worth a visit.

I guess for out of townwers, its good to see a small piece of Texas history. The other missions are a lot more interesting. Too many people who get in the way when you want to take a good picture is the only gray area.

The Alamo is located in the middle of town surrounded my large modern buildings. Sort of takes away from the experience. However, one of the staff providing knowledge advised that the Alamo will purchase all the land down to the river. The building will be...More

It's much smaller than I expected but moving nonetheless. A lovely huge live oak in the grounds adds to the atmospherics of the place. Really worth a visit.

We booked the Story of Texas tour and it was very well done. Our tour guide John was obviously very knowledgeable about not only the history of the battle, but also the surrounding area and previous history of the area. Even the children in our...More

The main attraction of SAN Antoniou is the site of The Alamo. You get to feel what it was like when the few Americans tried to hold back the massive Mexican Army Recommended

Hello! Your title leads me to believe that perhaps you meant to post this review to SeaWorld's page rather than the Alamo. We do hope that you had a chance to visit us as well!

I was happy to check this one off of my bucket list. A ton of history packed in one place. It is amazing to think about what happened there and how well they have preserved history. I highly recommend.
