We visited Coney Island on a day off from work on a Friday. Our main destination was the aquarium but we walked the boardwalk and ate at Nathans. Honestly the place is run down. There are several broken boards on the boardwalk, some with nails...More

In the 70's, this was gang-turf, and everyone was on the menu. As a kid growing up here, I never understood why people would bring their families... It was dangerous! - BUT THAT HAS ALL CHANGED: It's cleaner, safer and there's a lot more rides...More

The park at Coney Island is iconic, but in daylight, it looks rather garish. Prices are rather high, but if you exchange cash into ride-card and fill up with more than 80 credtis ($1 = 1 credit), you will get 40 extra credits. And you...More

We visited shortly after the regular season so it was a little quiet. although the stores were open and some restraints were serving. Of course the surf was wonderful to walk thru and it was fairly clean except for the dead rat that was still...More

I grew up in Brooklyn and moved away. I get to visit home very often, but haven’t been back to Coney Island since I was a child. The last and most rememberable thing about Coney Island was the white Roller Coster. I only got on...More

We were in NYC visiting other attractions, but always wanted to visit Coney Island. Well, the beach was nice, the boardwalk was pretty clean, bathrooms DEPLORABLE, and too many "pop up" food places with expensive pricing. I can only imagine how crowded the area must...More

Truly enjoyed my time at Coney Island. Riding the rides. Eating the carnival food. Right on the boardwalk near the beach. Parking sucks but the park is clean again. Will definitely be back.

We were there the week after Labor Day so no crowds. Not sure if that makes a difference in visiting. Easy subway ride from downtown Brooklyn. Nice clean beach with lots of things to do on the boardwalk and beyond. Friendly, family atmosphere.

Fantastic beach, great walk along the boardwalk, some good bars, aquarium and a good atmosphere. As amusement parks go, the one at Coney Island is more nostalgia, but I had fun on my one ride on the classic Cyclone. I... More
