This a free attraction that is part a history & a major project that took place in Alaska. I was glad we had someone to tell us some of the history This was well worth the stop

Nicely detailed viewing spot for the Alyeska Pipeline. I’ve read about it but this was the first time that I could actually walk up to and see it.

It helps to see close-up the size , and understand the gravity of the momentous undertaking the pipeline was. It is very interesting to be up near the actual pipeline and look up and down it to imagine some of the obstacles and dangers they...More

The pipeline is a site to see. There are many places in Alaska where the pipeline can be seen. We’d seen a slice of the pipe at another place but this is yet another place to read more about it.

We made a quick stop to the pipeline. Very interesting. There were a few signs explaining the history and engineering behind the pipeline. A nice quick stop for a visit if you’re in the area.

Standing next to a retired PIG is interesting. If you have been here then you know all about it. What a feat of engineering.

We saw the pipeline in conjunction with the Gold Dredge NO. 8 tour and took several photos of it. You can see the inside of the pipeline in a special cut out version. The train ride to the dredge was interesting with narration of the...More

The pipeline and how it was constructed is truly impressive we had met someone in Anchorage who had been involved with the construction and ongoing maintenance so had some idea of what had been involved.

24/7. It's on a pullout off the Steese Hwy, north of Fairbanks. Park your car, walk across a small bridge & there is the pipeline, along with signs that explain the history, etc. Can be seen from the road & accessed all... More
