Our visit to Independence Hall was fantastic. The guides (National Park Rangers) were full of knowledge not only about the extensive history of their own location, but were also a wealth of knowledge about the other sites Philadelphia has to offer.

An excellent walk through of this historic building where the constitution was signed. The guide/ranger was informative and entertaining as he described our surroundings and the momentous event that took place here. He made a point of asking where visitors were from so I guess...More

That was a great tour to see key history. The tour guide was great and answered questions and allowed pictures. Great spot for the family.

As the guides(park service) says: this is the most significant building I the US. This is where the Declaration of Independence was signed. This is where the Constitution was debated and formed, then signed. Proud to be an American, no matter what one’s political views...More

I reserved tickets online for $2 and we went to pick them up 45 minutes before our tour. When we got to the visitor's center, they had plenty of tickets for the earlier tour (mid-Sept is slow season and a great time to go!), so...More

How you can go to Philadelphia and not visit IH is unthinkable. Wish they had statutes of where everyone sat at their desks. Would have been cool to see.

Grew up coming to Philadelphia for school field trips. First saw the Liberty Bell inside Independence Hall in the late '60s/ early 70s. Took young children to Independence Mall in the '90s and visited the Liberty Bell out in grassy mall area encased in plexiglass....More

Yes the Liberty Bell isn't inside Independence Hall; it's in a separate building across the street that doesn't cost or require tickets. The tour is of Independence Hall only.

My guess would be in the winter. Some of the tour is outside and some is inside but none of it is heated. I know I would not choose this time of year.
