This is an interesting and non-confrontational way to view relics of 9/11. The display and documentary is based on the work of Gary Suson, the official Ground Zero photographer. I was sceptical, when told it would take 1 1/2 to view the museum. I thought...More

So this photographer became the only one officially allowed on the site to document on images on film and I'm glad he did so in a tasteful way. This is basically a one-room gallery of the images with posted numbers so you can listen to...More

This is an incredibly powerful and moving place. Workshop is a perfect word for it as it is not quite a museum. Don't let the size of the place make you walk away. It was much smaller than I expected, but there is so much...More

So glad I visited. Difficult subject handled with utmost respect and true professionalism. The level of detailed information made this an emotional experience that all people, especially Americans, should hear. Thank you.

Very few people had heard of this workshop and the experience we had was amazing. The 9/11 workshop is the work of the only official photographer allowed in Ground Zero and the moving photographs he took. Along with headphones to explain his pictures you get...More

This is someplace that everyone in the US needs to see and visit to learn more and never forget! I loved that it was small and intimate and we were there with only one other couple and were able to really see and read.

Gary Suson’s Ground Zero Workshop Museum was well worth the 2 1/2 hours my husband and I spent there! It was a powerful and heartbreaking experience. The exhibition consists of photographs taken during the rescue and recovery following 9/11. Mr. Suson was the only photographer...More

Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was
here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter
culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for
its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to
get a feel for this diverse and energetic
neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street
performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the
fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess.

Apologies. Just noticed your question regarding Ground Zero. If you get there early there's no waiting. Although we visited in winter so I'm guessing it's busier in July? As for time, we stayed about 2 hours but it's quite... More
