This is a very cool looking building and a quick walk through to look at some plants and flowers. Musicians play all around the area too. It's a lovely spot to take a break

This building is part of Balboa Park & houses numerous species of flowers & plants. Everything is labeled for your curiosity. 20 minutes to a half hour to see all!

We started our walk here. It’s very small. Took us about 10 mins to walk thru. But as a whole it’s a nice addition to the balboa park.

Pros: Lily pond is delightful with Koi and usually ducks. Lily flowers often in bloom. Cons: While Botanical building is a nice example of greenhouse, it is somewhat casual in upkeep. Pleasant but no real rare specimens

Visited the building in August. Wonderful location and great spot for photography. Light shielded by overhead cover produced ideal light conditions.

Balboa Park has so much to see and this is on the top 5 as far as I am concerned. So many things are happening around the Botanical Building itself, like the famous fish pond leading up to the building. After entering inside you are...More

The lily pond mesmerizes everyone and pictures are being taken non-stop! Enjoy some quiet reflection time or just a quiet walk around looking at the lilies, ducks, koi, and other flowers. The Botanical Garden is a beautiful architectural structure and within is a full gamut...More

This is not a massive place of plants, but it's free! so worth the visit. The pond is very pretty and the architecture of the building is interesting too. Definitely a spot to stop by when at Balboa

I just saw this question. No, no fees. The park is a great family experience, the grounds are free. You pay for the museums throughout though. And the zoo.
