I try to make it to Cabrillo NM when in San Diego. The scenery is fine, especially Point Loma, and the place offers a pleasant walk.

We have mixed ages teenager and tween. Definitely start this trip at visitor center, then the lighthouse, and then the tidepools. Make sure you check when tide is low. This was great for all ages. Setup is nice the views were beautiful and great picture...More

The lighthouse is one of a few working lighthouse in the states. It is on top of a hill on La Poma Point.

It costs $20 per car to enter this monument, but the views over San Diego and the surrounding areas are worth it. There are also various walking trails for the fitter and more adventurous visitor.

The m payment is accessible but the tidal pools are difficult to access by wheel chair.
