This is one of the many reasons that you need a car whilst in Oahu. We stayed in Waikiki and came here as soon as we picked up our rental car from the airport. The gift shop itself is amazing and worth a visit- we...More
We visited here during a 1-day cruise port visit to Oahu, and was trying to cram as many sites into the day as possible. When we arrived, there was over an hour waiting line to stand in for the tram ride through the pineapple fields...More
Very disappointed with our trip to Dole Plantation. Waited two hours for a train to take us through the pineapple fields, pretty much saw lots of dirt fields. Also toured the gardens. They were pretty but nothing special. We did not do that maze. We...More
If you want to view anything here, it’s quite expensive. Children would enjoy the train ride. The visitor’s center has lots of items made from pineapples. If you want to buy a pineapple, it costs double of Walmart’s dole pineapple.
We did enjoy the pineapple...More
This is 100% tourist trap. There’s nothing to see as far as “a plantation.” It’s basically a huge store of dole related products, a cheesy train ride looking at empty fields, an “okay” botanical garden and a maze of bushes (which was kind of cool...More
We had a nice visit to the plantation. While there we had lunch, shopped for souvenirs, rode the train, and then had ice cream. Our only issue with the visit was the lady working the food counter. The lady was wearing gloves taking money and also...More
Visited last time we were here and loved the ice cream so much, we decided to go again, the drive there using smaller roads is stunning and the plantation itself is really interesting. It gets really busy but we enjoyed an ice cream and a...More
This was a great place to stop on the way to the north shore. The maze was fun and the people who worked there were very friendly. The pineapple dole whip was delicious. Lunch from the food court was huge, we could have easily had...More
Stopped in while driving round island just to get dole whip which are delicious. Can get everything pineapple here you could ever think of. Place had changed a lot since our last visit and found it very commercialized now, but still nice place to visit
Unfortunately when we went, late September, there were no pineapples in the fields because they were just harvested. We only did the train ride tour. You can also do a garden walk and the maze. The train ride was informative and you see many other...More

If the teens like gaming and are a little competitive then I would say, yes, it might be fun for them. Full disclosure is that the Plantation gives each entrant a little map and a pencil and you use the map to find 6-8 "stations" in the maze. At each station you do a rubbing onto the map to show you made it. The teens may also think it is cool to tell their friends that they were in the world's largest maze.
