This was our first time staying on the North Shore, and Haleiwa Beach is probably our favorite that we've every stayed on. The water was calm and great for snorkeling. Not crowded. People were very friendly.
The water was calm. You could paddle board here. We were swimming and a turtle popped up right next to me. It was incredible. We saw three more while swimming there. You could also rent kayaks and canoes.

This is just over the bridge on the way out of Haleiwa. Walk out on the breakwater and you may see turtles. A great place to have a walk and watch the sunset.

We were cruisin’ the North coast, looking for some tubes, past Pipeline, past Jaws, past Sunset, past the big-wave Mecca of Waimea Bay - nothing. Then at Haleiwa we found them - perfectly formed six inch ankle-slappers.
