FOOD/DRINKS/BATHROOMS: None available. COST: free. PARKING: Free! Park along the road close to the school. Someone put a picture of the map of where the beach is on tripadvisor! (LOOK THROUGH THE PICTURES TO FIND THE MAP With the path). I printed that picture. It...More

One of the best beach on Maui. Way: At the end of the school, pass the lawn at the yellow gate. At the other side you will find a little track which leads to the beach (see pictures 5 & 6).

It is difficult to park near the beach, a narrow one way road. Then you have to traipse through a field, and follow the path down to the beach. It is a scary and somewhat dangerous path, and I would not recommend it if you...More

A little difficult to find, The trailhead to beach is through some bushes, at the edge of a small field next to a school. We were able to make the hike with a six-year old in tow. Well worth the hike!

This is a beautiful, unique location and well worth the walk. I also enjoyed swimming in the protected cove. Much better, in my opinion, than the Black Sand Beach. Just be aware that some parts of the path to the Red Sand Beach are quite...More

This red sand beach is situated in a cove surrounded by rock cliffs, picturesque with sand soft to the touch and clear water. There is a reef barrier protecting the cove from ocean waves, making the water gentle enough for the little ones. Potentially very...More

The Shaka app we were using gave us great parking instructions which was so helpful. If you are not using an app to guide you, you'll find that you are going through a small residential neighborhood and will come across a green community center on...More

We made this our main destination after enduring the road to Hana. I would say it was the highlight of the trip. It was a really unique beach and made for some pretty pictures. The only frustrating part was it took us about 5 hours...More

Where else can you get within a few miles of each other a red sand and then a black sand beach?? Very cool spot to check out.

If you can find Parking, go for it. To reach, some trekking required along narrow cliffs. Worth a visit.

You just need to park along the road or around the corner in the very small parking lot - but don't face your vehicle in the wrong direction or you'll get a ticket.
