The movement of the longhorns down the street is of short duration but the "gun fight" lasted longer. Having said that, the gun report is very loud so it's not for babies or very young children. Plenty of shops and restaurants close by. There were...More

My friend and I spent a day at the stockyards while traveling in Texas. We loved it and had so much fun there. It definitely is 'touristy', but we still liked it. There are a lot of little shops, their prices for souvenirs, etc... were...More

Great day trip out to see the cattle run, I recommend going to see the morning session at 10.30AM. Followed shortly after by a LOUD cowboy skit involving a "shootout". Afterwards, wander around the shops  for a souvenir and a bite to eat. All up...More

The experience was fun for all ages. The cattle drive and petting zoo were the highlight of the day. We ate at Riskys. Service was excellent, my food was good. Our server was sweet and took good care of our bunch.

Being a country gal who runs with longhorns (literally run country miles), I liked seeing these tamed wonders. The "cowboys" were extremely nice and the buildings beautiful.

The Stockyards are about 10 minutes away from Forth Worth downtown. The historic District is the place where rodeo shows take place but only Fridays and Saturdays. However there are 2 cattle drives every day at 11:30 and 16:00, where you can see a small...More
