We had a great couple of hours looking at the exhibits. We've lived in Dallas for fifty years, so it was neat to see different pieces of Dallas' rich history -- and wonderful historical artifacts -- displayed in such an intriguing fashion.

Likely the most complete illustrated history of Dallas Texas. Great self guided museum of exhibits and artifacts, a must for every Texan....great for teenagers (and the young at heart)

We were surprised at how much we enjoyed this museum. it's set up so you won't miss anything. only complaint is that there isn't necessarily enough information on all exhibits, left us guessing a few times. but well done.

The building itself is outstanding. They had scaffolding up everywhere replacing the roof but said they should be done soon. There is a lot of Texas history inside covering many areas. The iron staircase is a real work of art from 120 years ago. The...More

The Old Red Museum building was built in 1892 of red limestone with marble accents. The building houses the museum covering Dallas County history and culture, the museum store and a great visitors center. Gorgeous architecture, one of Dallas' finest.
