THE place to hear some dirty southern blues etc. Not to mention great people watching. Don't expect exceptional food here as this is a huge tourist place but it is a must.

There are so many places to eat and so much to see. If you are close to the area you should be sure to check it out.

Glad I went but Beale is a bit run down. Many places charged a cover just to get in. A few places you could listen to the music outside.Over all I was a bit disappointed.

Beale Street isn't very long, but it has lots of bars and restaurants, along with a small park where live music happens. You can buy drinks on the street and carry them as you walk. There are cute and fun gift shops to buy t-shirts,...More

We made our first-ever trip to Beale Street on a Saturday afternoon and were happy to find a good-sized crowd with lots of open bars, restaurants and shops. Some bars had cover charges but we weren't willing to invest and stay in one place so...More

We wondered what all the fuss was about on our two visits to Beale Street. I'm sure there is action there some nights, however, it's dead during the day and even on the weekend of the Pride Parade. The restaurants and bars have seen better...More

Fantastic tour! The guide was knowledgeable and had great pride in her city which made the tour even more enjoyable. I would rate this a must see tour if you are visiting Memphis.

We loved it here. It was pedestrianised which was good and there was a great atmosphere. Lots of bars and shops. Great fun.

We visited Beale Street 3 nights. We enjoyed BB Kings the first night, but the music the other 2 nights was just ok. One bar charged a cover charge of $5 and passed the tip bucket more than once. Drinks everywhere were very expensive. We're...More

We walked around the street after dinner. There were families with kids of varying ages. I think the atmosphere is fine. I wouldn't leave my teen aged children on their own.
