Love how the city spent money to encourage walking, riding & public transportation. Nice river views and proximity to downtown. Since I’m not from the area not sure what’s on the East side as most of the area is industrial. Maybe if I knew the...More

As a local, I don't do a lot of things that travelers do when they come to my city. But, there is one thing I've done that I would recommend to anyone; traverse Tilikum Crossing. Do it from West to East or East to West...More

Popular with with cyclists, joggers and more modest pedestrians (and trams) a stroll across the Tilikum is a very pleasant experience - with great views in both directions - as well as appreciating the architecture of the bridge itself.

I’ve crossed this bridge numerous times each month on foot, by bus, and by train since it opened a few years ago. It’s especially beautiful when lit up at night. A great connector bridge from downtown or the south waterfront to Portland’s east side.

This bridge is quite interesting... we walked it after visiting OMSI to get to the commuter tram. Great views of Portland can be had

This is a fun diversion and not too strenuous. It's not a must do and is a nice to do. The bridge is fairly new and beautiful and accommodates only pedestrians, cyclists and public transportation.

Walk across this foot/bike bridge (train/bus only in the center). It's a wonderful view of the city with coffee shop at the west end. Perfect evening walk.

What a fun bridge to walk or bike across. Take time to soak in the views of the city and the mountains.

A great way to see the sights while walking across the river. Word of caution, even tho there are specific bike and walking lanes, watch out for bikes and scooters, they don't watch out for you!

Had to finally walk the bridge to see what all the hype was about. It has beautiful views and it is a pleasant walk. If you are looking for something to do, try it!

I’d suggest doing a daytime walk about to get your bearings then return at night...possibly from the OMSI (East side). Good luck!
