We stopped at the Green Gables house and exhibit as a part of our day touring PEI. My wife was really looking forward to it, and I figured it would be a couple hours where I could relax. I enjoyed it a lot more than...More

I was a little confused by all things “Anne of Green Gables,” so here’s the scoop. The home Green Gables is run by the Park Service and is where L.M. Montgomery’s cousins lived. She visited often (living with her grandparents a short distance away) and...More

We had an hour on our tour to visit Green Gables. For me (not familiar with the books), It was too much time. But I did tour the area. It is a small place. The welcome center seemed as big as the historical lot and...More

We stopped to view this lovely location while on holiday in PEI. The history of the author, Lucy Maude Montgomery is fully explored and explained at the site and it was so nice to see the site where she grew up and gives insights into...More

I am not sure what we expected, but it fell flat. I am a lover of the books, and stories but this feels like a government run, money grab. An older house that is much roped off and staff pushing you through, there is very...More

Had a couple of hours to spend here and sure learned a lot more about L.M. Montgomery than I imagined. The Anne of Green Gables series was great reading when I was a girl. Later my daughter wanted me to read them to her so...More

This is a must for Anne of Green Gables fans. Toured the delightful house that inspired the books, saw the beautiful garden and looked around the museum that has lots of very interesting information about LM Montgomery. There’s also a good cafe on site which...More

I've read the Anne of Green Gables books but honestly was not as impressed as I thought I'd be. We came on a tour from a cruise ship; happened to pick a lull and didn't have to wait long to get in the house. My...More

At first it is a bit disconcerting turning in to Green Gables Heritage Center. The road looks like an office parkway and the visitor center itself sits in front of Green Gables and the barn but looks can be deceiving. Once you are through the...More

I heard several disappointed people, but they hadn't read the books or known the background of Green Gables. For us it was a very good visit and helped bring the books alive. We weren't able to hike the trails because Hurricane Dorian came through the...More

I agree with those who said 1-2 hours really depends how big a fan you are. Gives you ample time to visit all the building, see Anne and do the walks.
