This hike is not to be missed if you in the area. The gorge hike was spectacular although can be challenging due to steps. Falls, rock formations, foliage were amazing.

Watkins Glen is absolutely breath taking. I researched this as a place to visit to see the fall foliage and I thought it was so beautiful. It would be great to see anytime of year, but I'm sure Spring is incredible because the water would...More

This was highly recommended and was not disappointed! Beautiful scenery 19 waterfalls and wonderful fall colors. Lots of walking; about 2 miles total ; down in the gorge and then back up! Had a great day and took many pictures!

Don’t miss taking a walk UP the gorge trail at the Watkins Glen State park you will not be disappointed and best of all it’s free unless you park in their lot. Over 850 steps but well worth the effort.

We spent the afternoon hiking through Watkins Glen State Park. It was GORGEOUS!! The mountain views were beautiful, especially this time of year. But, the waterfalls were unbelievable! A must-see.

We parked at the top and walk down the 862 steps instead of up. I think it was easier. The falls and the gorge itself was breathtaking. You have to experience to understand. The walk down, 1.5 miles took about 2 hours, but we were...More

Don't think you can avoid the stairs on this one. The walkways are stone, uneven and in many places wet. If you can negotiate some of the stairs with aid of a trekking pole or cane that might help some.

My best advice----give the park a call and/or check website! The Ranger I spoke with at the front entrance to the park was VERY courteous
