Walking down Michigan Ave is hard to miss in Chicago. Of course you're going to cross the bridge at some point. The 2 sides are quite different in my opinion. A tour we went on explained the design on the bridge.

Yes, it's just a bridge, but I loved it! This particular bridge has sculpted artwork on all 4 corners. Worth the time to take a look. One panel in particular isn't very PC, but still art. Nice when seen from the riverwalk as well.

This is one of many bridges across the river. This one happens to have great views. Actually most of the bridges do, just this one is in the middle of some cool spaces.

The bridge on the river, famous and immortalized in several movies, still the best place to see and live in the beautiful town

Not much to say about it as it is just a bridge. The city is full of bridges which all open for the boat traffic.

This is a beautiful bridge! I love that the sculpted reliefs on the pylons tell some of the history of Chicago.

Lots of activity at this bridge all day long. Most of the riverboat tours are accessible from this area. The bridge itself is beautiful.

There are plenty of mass transit ways to get there as well as an Uber. Also plenty to do shopping experience wise and dining.

I'd use public transportation to get downtown instead of trying to drive and park downtown. And there is too much traffic to really see anything while you're driving.
