The movie on the first floor is well done and a docent was there to answer questions and add information which was great. The city diorama was interesting. Apart from that I didn't really want to read all of the wall posters as I'd heard...More

The docent on the bus was very knowledgeable, as were the documents at the Frank Lloyd Wright Studio and walking tour. Lots of information obtained. A little rushed as we often had to move quickly during tour to make room for next tour group. Despite...More

Entry was free with our architecture boat ticket. Stopped in after just to check it out. Wandered the first floor only, couple exhibits and very cool interactive map of the city. Enjoyed, but probably wouldn't buy a ticket just for this.

First of all we had a great docent (Dan) who was incredibly knowledgeable. Visited early skyscrapers (post 1871 fire) on up to post-modernist. Learned about the evolution of building methods and architectural styles and leading architects. Easy walk. Will never look at Chicago skyscrapers the...More

Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a
good starting point to sample the city's energy and
flavor. This central business district boasts
Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier
shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep
your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many
