Employees told us it would take 2.5 hours to get to the top. It only took about an hour which was nice. However, since there are no timed tickets the upstairs observation deck and the Ledge were packed! I had to squeeze past people to...More

Long wait to buy a ticket. Great views from the 103rd floor. Didn’t do the ledge because it would have meant another wait of more than an hour. Disclaimer: we were in town on marathon weekend so that probably added to the crowds

These people conceal any information about how long the lines take- We are now in our fifth room of back and forth maze- Each room is behind a different wall so you have no idea how long you will be stuck waiting to go up...More

This place gives you a real 360 degree view of the Chicago downtown area and all the way till Lake Michigan. The elevator ride itself is an experience. It zooms up 103 floors in about a minute. The queue can be a bit tedious and...More

The Willis Tower does not make a good first impression. The unassuming entrance and the winding path through the bowels of the tower make a visitor second guess their decision to pay $25 for admission. However, the elevator whisks visitors to the top in an...More

The views were alright, [1 world trade center in New York blows this out of the park], but staff was rude. Lines were long. They let way too many people upstairs at once. People didn't follow the 90 second rule on the glass overlooks, yet...More

Yes, book in advance. We went last week in the middle of the week and waited in line to buy tickets for 45 minutes. That could have been completely avoided had we bought tickets online before we went.

We went on a Wednesday around 4pm and there was not a wait. I think a lot of people try to go around an hour before sunset and then you are up there to see the sun set.
