If you book at the Edge Water or Marker 8 you’re right at the bridge and can walk across to the downtown shops, this is our preference every time we stay in Saint Augustine. View from the Edge Water.

Such a pretty bridge, we were staying on St Augustine Beach, and crossed this bridge several times while going to historic St Augustine.. Very scenic views of the bridge can be seen from the fort and from the town as well..

Adding to the waterfront charm, this essential draw bridge is well lit and pretty at night. Even when it opens for tall masted ships to pass, traffic doesn’t back up too far.

This is the main entrance to and from the historic part of St Augustine. It makes for a pretty site, coming to and leaving the city. You can see boats and a pirate ship. The old San Marcos Fort is right near there also

Coming from Downtown, its a nice little walk over the the bridge of lions, but once you get there.. there is lil much to do, unless you are in a car... But if you are just out to walk, its a great view!

The Bridge of Lions spans the intercoastal. It is a beautiful view over the waterway on the way to Saint Augustine beach.
