First thing first: you will need to a good 4x4... This track is brutal while offering amazing scenic views. Great way to go from Mascat to Al Hamra (and The View hotel).

You can drive the Wadi Bani Awf route in about two hours. However, make it a full day. There are great places to stop and walk - to simply admire the view, or explore a Wadi. Snake Canyon and Little Snake Canyon make excellent hikes...More

It’s worth renting a 4x4 just to do this track! Possibilities to camp or stay along the track and also the starting point for Snake Canyon.
