The pier was the end of a nice stroll from Venice Beach. The pier is a lively attraction with lots of people and things to do.

For anyone travelling to Los Angeles, you must go to the Santa Monica Pier. You've probably seen it in movies your whole life and then you are there! Beautiful scenery, shopping, eateries, rides, etc., like nowhere else!

Looks like you can buy all-day wristbands: see the pacific park website. They're currently $31.45 (8 and over) and $17.05 (7 and younger).
