Go. Drive slowly. Enjoy nature in all its splendor. As you travel, you are not surprised often: this amazed me and my wife. Visit the Anfiteatro.

All the valley is beautiful but we particularly loved this are. Very scenic and fantastic views. Made many pictures.

The ride through the quebrada is magnificent. It reminds me of Arizona's red rocks. It will take close to two hours to drive through it and is part of the excursion from Salta to Cafayate.

You need to do it by car; either rental or by taxi. You'll want to stop every 5 minutes. It's breathtaking

Really this is one of many yet one on its own. It is gorgious, breathtaking, great scenery, sometimes a bit bumpy, but man did wr enjoy ourselfs.

IMO, you don't really need a tour company, just a sense of adventure. How long are you staying? Rent a car for the freedom to go where you want. Although they are more expensive than the States. Try Cactus Rentals - they... More
