I visited here in the middle of their winter. I expected howling winds and high seas, I experienced the opposite. I have never experienced the peace and tranquility that I did anywhere else. The sea was so calm, no wind and a lovely chill in...More

This was our favourite trip whilst staying in Ushuaia. We booked our trip with Patagonia adventure explorers for $1900 each. It left Ushuaia bay at 10am and visited two islands where we saw sealions, and the lighthouse. Fantastic trip highly recommend it.

Leaving Ushuaia we cruised through the Beagle channel and along Glacier Alley past stunning mountains, waterfalls and glaciers. Our cruise ship is dwarfed in the face of these ancient masses of ice and rock. Overwhelming and really breathtaking!

The Beagle Canal is a beautiful sight. Hard to imagine the long ago explorers who travelled this path - and kept going. The sights, the sounds, the beauty. So glad I had the chance to see this wonderous area.

The cruise through the Beagle Canal on our way to and from Ushuaia was picturesque to say the least. We entered on the Argentina side and exited in Chile. We saw many birds including albatross and cormorants, along with seals, sea lions and penguins. The...More

I think it depends on what you want from the experience. Snow, stormy weather? A good sailing experience during their midsummer, November-February.
