Excellent place to go for whale watching, mothers and babies, too many to count. Also sea lions, elephant seals, and land animals.

This is a really nice little village, not at all spoilt, yet, by over development. vNice laid back atmosphere, good range of little shops and restaurants. Has an atmosphere r reminiscent of Cornish fishing villages. Highly recommended.

Tiny village with a laid back atmosphere. You can watch the whales from the beach. Very chilled. A handful of decent bars and restaurants and a couple of little shops so you can get all you need. Recommend staying here for a night or two...More

Puerto Piramides is an amazing little town worth visiting. There are a bunch of tourists during the day getting on whale watching boats, but if you can you should stay the night. We did the sunset boat tour, but the best experience was walking the...More

Unlike most people who visit Puerto Piramedes, I visited neither during whale season nor as part of a day tour from, say, Puerto Madryn. Instead, I just camped a few nights near the beach (in the only campground in town) and hiked around a little...More

One of our favourite stops on our full day tour of the Valdes Peninsula. Puerto Piramides is home to loads of sea lions who are just too much fun to watch! Very noisy and playful. Really neat!

My Wife & I visited Puerto Piramides while on a trip to Argentina. We only spent a day there - flying into Trelew from BA and then driving down to Puerto Piramides (which takes ~2 hrs) We were visiting right at the end of the...More

Puerto Piramides is a quaint ocean side town that is in a pretty remote part of Patagonia (approx 1.5 hr drive from Trelew airport). There were over 800 whales in the bay, with over 300 babies during our visit. There was barely a moment in...More

The best time is from July to November for whale watching . To see orcas hunting on the beach too , but you also need luck to find the right moment they do
