Beautiful views, hundreds of thousands of bats clearly visible, and friendly people - a great experience.

There lives a considerable amount of bats (and apparently baby bats, too) under the Congress Bridge and when sun sets, they leave the bridge to hunt food. Arriving before sunset is recommended as finding a parking spot may take a while and you may have...More

Beautiful mid-October evening....waited an hour under Congress bridge with hundred of other people all around. Anticipation flowing all around. I've seen bats in caves before. And was curious as to this unique endeavor. We even thought about going on a kayak tour to see bats...More

Saw the bats a little after sunset. Really amazing experience! Went to the park at the bottom of the bridge. The stench is strong from the urine and feces.

The bats decided not to come out after sunset tonight but it was still a nice experience for several hundred people that waited together. The sunset was beautiful and the vibe was friendly and chill.

Who knew Austin had a bat colony?!? A fun way to spend the evening but be prepared. The bats come out when they feel like it. So be prepared to wait and wait and wait until they are ready. No not! If it is windy...More
