We would have liked to have spent more than an hour here exploring the restaurants, cafes, and galleries. It's a lively bohemian neighborhood that has been fairly gentrified at this point.

Barranco with its old traditional houses, its bohemiam atmosphere and relaxed attitude is great for visitors. We went to the Mirador where you have a great view of the ocean front, walked along the Puente de los Suspiros and around its square and Av Pedro...More

It's a hip town but you must know where to go, what to look for, and where the good restaurants are. I encourage you to join a walking tour. You get to know all the good nuggets of Barranco.

Enjoyed a morning of walking through this neighborhood with its many large colorful murals on many buildings and walls. Visited local artist shops as well. Had great cerveche in a restaurant clearly enjoyed by the locals. A much more relaxed neighborhood than Miraflores.

Peruvian food in general has animal products, so unless you cook it yourself, very hard to find vegan food in Barranco. In other places in Lima you might. But because our food is incredible and world wide known, you might... More
