This is a really lovely site, in the care of the Missionaries of Africa. The interior of the church has a stark beauty and high roof, compared to the ornate edifices that can be found all around Jerusalem. Dedicated to St. Anne, mother of Mary...More

Beautifully maintained cathedral with old mosaics and stained glass windows. Cobblestones to get there but many follow pilgrimages

When we walked in a French choir group was just starting their turn at singing in this church. The acoustics are outstanding. Our group was also able to take a turn.

Went with a guide who explained what the ruins were - the pools in ancient times - and what it meant. We started our pilgrimage here and it was absolutely magical! Don´t miss this attraction if you have time.

What a breathtaking site! The unexpected vista of the ruins of the baths is etched into memory forever. Walk on the century old stone pathways, see the many levels of building stones and realise how ancient this city is. A visit to the Church of...More

The entry fee of NIS10 includes entry to the nice church and to the intriguing pools of Bethesda ruins. Good value for the money. Tranquil place most of the time.

Austere Crusader period church, very well preserved. Nothing fancy, nonetheless there is a sense of tranquility noticeable absent from some of the other well known churches in Jerusalem. Of course lots of groups come here to try out the wonderful acoustics of the church, and...More

Walking through the streets of Jerusalem and before the St. Stephen's Gate, I found myself in front of the Church of Agia Anna, the house where the Virgin Mary was born! Apart from the Temple, there are places that are from that time! Saint Anna,...More
