This promenade takes you along the Limmat and old town - with many shops (a bit more edgy than most of those on Bahnhofstrasse), churches, restaurants, cafes and the lovely Rathaus.
Probably my judgment is influenced by the nice weather I enjoyed, while I was expecting a freezing time in Zurich. Anyhow, strolling around it, was a good experience, with plenty to see.

Limmatquai is an interesting street in Zurich that runs around the length of the Limmat River. One finds several churches, quaint shops and restaurants along this street. One can explore this street by walking or alternatively by taking a tram that runs on it.
Limmatquai is a walk along the river Limmat which leads to the beautiful Lake Zurich. mix of buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries. Varied shops and restaurants typical of the region. Airy, nice.
