This is a cool old mill right near the center of Sorrento! It’s very easy to reach and enjoy! It’s a really cool attraction and a beautiful photo op!! Loved Sorrento!

Sadly, what you've read in the reviews is true: They've "cleaned" all of the foliage off of the ruins, basically laying them bare and eradicating all mystery and rustic atmosphere from the site. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it's still an impressive visit. Oh and it's FREE. How many awesome things in this world are free? Not many.

Simply park across the street (if you have a car), cross the street, and you're there. You won't need more than an hour, but don't rush your visit. There's a stillness and peacefulness to it that you won't want to miss.

It is a very short walk from Piazza Tasso. Around mid-day is a good time to visit when the sun is overhead, and you can get better photos.

The pictures for this spot look a lot better than in person. It’s unique in a way, but you only get a couple of angles that aren’t the best if you’re not staying in one of the overlooking hotels, and there’s a fair amount of garbage in the ruins, which obviously takes away from it. It’s free though and only a couple of minutes walk from Piazza Tasso, so not much of an inconvenience to check out.

This is a nice view, quite atmospheric and a little haunting. You wouldn't spend hours and hours here but if in Sorrento you might as well pop along and have a look.

This is an old, abandoned mill complex deep down in a bushy ravine just past Piazza Tasso, it's interesting to see once for about 5 minutes but in my opinion you can't spend long there.

We walked past the valley on our way into the centre of Sorrento from the train station. It's worth stopping for a moment because it's so different from anything else in the area.

A short walk form the train station, this small valley has a number of ruins and tress - a leafy oasis in the middle of this seaside city. As with everything Sorrento - calm, peaceful, and pleasing to the eye.

Well worth a visit. It still has me puzzling how people get down into it to do the maintenance workout the old Mills. The sign says there are Mills not just one so I presume there are more hidden in the undergrowth. I hope to see them uncovered and the site more cleared of vegetation some day.
