My second visit to the Bridge of Sighs with my two year old son (multiple before he was born). HIs dad is an alum and I love getting pictures of them together with this as the backdrop. Just lovely for the pictures and the memory.
And it has a side that is ornamental and a plain side - they were not really trying. If it had another name I would appreciate it better. It makes a nice photo on a limpid River Cam on a sunny day
This “punting” ride through the River Cam is a must in Cambridge. The backs of these colleges are not readily open to the public so this is a great way to see these beautiful buildings.
Alas, even if you have paid the £10 fee to enter this College, you cannot walk across this Bridge - although you can see it from another. It does resemble its namesake in Venice, unlike the version attached to Hertford College Oxford, which looks more like The Rialto.
We enjoyed our visit to Cambridge and trip on the river. We wish we could spend more time there but had to travel on.
