Following the Mendoza river along the highway from Aconcagua's heights to the channels of the city is fascinating given that the melting snows are Mendoza's only source of water.

We drove route 7 from Mendoza to the Chilean border and the Mendoza river is on your side much of the way. There is a water park shortly out of town that is only 50 pesos to spend the day, some hot springs, a lake...More

Now in dry eeason is not mutch there was hardly water in it. But have been here in December to and than is a lot wilder.

Take the Santiago road through the mountains and prepare to be amazed. Fantastic rock formations, amazing colours and views. We went on a bright cloudless day and it was truly memorable.

We were lucky enough to see the gate had been opened and the river was flowing. There is something special about seeing the river flowing and hearing the sounds at the bottom of the Andes
