The highlight in the Lower Town is Rue du Petit-Champlain, a quaint narrow street lined with boutiques, souvenir shops and restaurants and is good for a pleasant stroll. Both the L'Escalier Casse-Cou (Breakneck Staircase) and the funicular land you right on Rue du Petit-Champlain from...More

It's hard to put into words how very pretty this city can be. This is a perfect example of one of the prettier bits, but don't miss the high town and especially the Chateau!

This is the most narrow retail streets I've ever seen. I took the funicular down and spent the better part of a day exploring all of the little shops and finding the different murals. It's really great to see so much history being preserved.

We came here just off a cruise ship. There are lots of shops. We particularly like the jade and stone shops. You won't spend much time here, but you have to go through it to the more interesting upper city.

This place has all the strapping for the tourists, be it churches, wall art, cobbled pathway, shops to eat and pick up gifts and artefacts!

Took the Fenicular down. A lot of small quaint shops, very European feel about it. Good place to get souveniers.

Historic Old Town has been covered extensively but there are a good collection of sights in Lower Town that lie between the Old Port and Old Town. Fountains, fun little shops, and everything else that surrounds Old Town offer wonderful walking opportunities. As near as...More

It is fairly steep. You can walk on the surface street as well. It is not so bad. Just take your time, there is a lot to see.

You can surely view lots in the Old Quebec City in one day. But keep in mind you won't be able to see everything.

Yes you sure can but you may get a better exchange rate at a bank than anywhere else.
