Even in the wet, the Inner Harbour is beautiful and worth touring by heel-n-toe. Coffee shops, boats, ships, bicycles, people... Canada is alive here. The BC Legislature, the Empress Hotel, Canadian history... it's also here... try a tour, then come back where you can hover...More

good area for watching seaplanes and tiny highly coloured water taxis buzzing around. We didn't try one but looked like fun.

I walk the Inner Harbour on a daily basis early in the morning before the tourists and traffic converge on it. I love the serenity and if lucky enough I will see the occasional harbour seal or otters as the look for their breakfast. One...More

I stay at the Marriott so when I step out the door everything I want to do is within steps. There is always something going on - Labor Day Weekend there is a ship festival and a blues festival. Plus interesting shops and nice restaurants...More

A really good place for exploring and eating both during the day and in the evening. There are excellent facilities in the harbour area, and also a very good Toursit information office where staff are polite and helpful in providing information, advice leaflets and maps.

Looks like you got your answer. Oak Bay hosts a market once a month on Wednesday evenings and Sidney hosts one also on Thursdays which can be googled also. Not related to your question but I wanted to share
