Great people-watching location. Lively and a lot going on at all times. Saturday evening fireworks are great. Bicycle train ride is great.

Strolling around this district, is like stepping back in time, while up to date specialties abound! A combination of old and new, with the amenities of modern times.

The entire downtown is a World Heritage site and no wonder. There are so many amazingly beautiful old buildings. It's lovely just to wander around and enjoy the history. Lots of nice cafes to stop at when you're tired.

What a place. We walked over six miles today and never seen so many fabulous churches in my entire life! Morelia still sparkles with colonial charm and colors a not to be missed place.

The center of Morelia is a place with lots of life, restaurants, museums and churches to visit. Lots of bars and places to dance or have a drink and stay awake

Though I was very close to Michoacán (Pátzcuaro and Janitzio) , I was with a tour group of Mexican Nationals. Since tourist money helps the local economy, I would think you would be fine. Just don't flash fancy jewelry... More
