We did these ruins as part of a cruise excursion and they were awesome. The guide was very knowledgeable and the whole family learned so much about the Mayan Culture while on this tour. The grounds were beautiful and while not as big as many...More
Be prepared to walk and for it to be HOT! Because these ruins are in the jungle (thick, dense, canopied jungle), there isn't a lot of air flow, so it gets VERY humid and warm. Take a bottle of water or two with you to...More
This is a small ruin site. This was my first time being at Mayan ruins. Our tour last approximately 1 hour and our guide Margarita was awesome! I enjoyed learning the history of these ruins and how the Mayans came their for the goddess of...More
We went here as part of an excursion on a Disney Cruise. Our family loves ruins and was glad to be able to check these out. The site isn't huge, but it was interesting and our guide was great.

Had a wonderful time but entry can be confusing. You pay one fee to get into the shopping area that you are required to pass thru, then another fee to get in, then another fee for a tour guide. We did not get the tour...More
There was plenty of parking when we got there about 9am and a very nice gentlemen guided us to shaded parking. He greeted us and warned us of mosquitos as well as telling us would keep an eye on the car. Maybe it's the time...More

I am not sure if taxis would be waiting for you for at the ruins, but you can always make arrangements in advance with the tax driver who brought you. Most of the taxi drivers speak at least a little English and all take cash, pesos and I think credit cards as well.
