My Cancun experience started from this 'beach' - what a waste of time: shallow, limited by buoys, tons of boats passing by, no public facilities, too small too crowded. Avoid North beaches and go to East ones
not so crowded, regardless the time of the year, most beautiful beach I've visited in Cancun. So calm that the fishes are swimming with us in the ocean.
It is right next to casa maya hotel, but the beach has so many seaweed and therefore it smells not good. I stayed at casa maya and i was curious about public beach so i went there but it was a bit disappointment.
Walkable from Tamarindo and out of the fray. There's great surf, so people watching is great. Also an inlet for getting away from the waves. Several people had their dogs there, everyone just chilling out. Gorgeous!
Easy to find and a bit crowded during sundays, water is clean and warm and nice to swim or just to enjoy the sun. Not so much shadows where to rest, but it is possible to rent an umbrella. There are not bars or restaurant where to eat or drink.
