I arrived early so I had the chance to enjoy without hussle. The archeological center is simple magnificent and majestic. If you have adventure spirit you can still can find certain hidden places with no so easy access.

Don’t miss the chance to see this, either as part of a tour or on your own. You may want to go early, though, as there is no shade.

It would be to much to try to describe this historic side, anyone going to Oaxaca simply has to see it and feel it, Fantastic , I will go there again and again.

The ruins of Monte Alban are very impressive. Go as early as you can to avoid large groups of other tourists. The on-site museum is also very well done and worth a visit.

You can enjoy the sights even if you cannot climb many steps. But be prepared because it`s a long walk, you should bring water with you. Happy trails!

You can do better than $300. See my review of Monte Alban for details. We paid $60 pesos for a return van trip and 90 for admission = $150 per person. We took sandwiches and bought water for a good price at the site. We... More

We found English speaking guides on-site. I suppose they could all be out with others when you arrive, but we had no problem, and the man’s English was quite good.
