We were in Old San Juan as a port stop on our Carnival Cruise. We left the port and started walking in the direction of the fort when we came upon the Basilica. So happy we stopped. The history is amazing and the architecture beautiful....More

This cathedral is beautiful and well kept inside and out. There were magnificent sculptures and antiques.

Upon entering the cathedral you are immersed into another time. Looking at the fabulous stained glass beyond the alter to the individual inserts of the building, one sees plain, but, ornamental quaintness.

We love visiting the Catedral while in Old SanJuan. My wife usually get her Holly Water and light a candle. While we say a prayer. Hopefully they can renovate it soon.

there are at least a dozen within 10 minutes but El Convento is right across the street maybe 1 minute or less.
