It's in a less pitiful state than Fort george and Matthew, but than again there's nothing much in terms of explanation or indication around the fort for you to get the full story of the place. It does offer a nice view of the mountains...More

This old fort was built to assist in a war effort...however by the time it was completed the war was over! you are so high up, you get a sweeping view of a number of parishes and the new Parliament building.

For all the forts in Grenada, Fort Frederick was still standing with no bricks falling down. The fort was intact and they gave lots of explanations. I liked the pillars, the view on the ocean. However, we we could not visit the maze in the...More

Worth a visit whether or not you are interested in the history as the views of St George's are wonderful. I went as part if a tour. It would be quite a strenuous walk from town!! A taxi there if not on a tour is...More

Ther is not a lot left to the fort, but a little pre-research and a short walk to the fort itself is definately a must do. There are plaques in the fort area, but the pre-research gives you a much broader perspective. The views are...More

I always enjoy visiting forts around Caribbeans and considering Grenada has 3 of them this was quite a treat for me :) the drive is pretty unusual as you seem to be going through residential neighborhoods on a pretty narrow road until out of the...More

We went on a guided taxi tour of the whole island and a stop here was included. $2 US PER person admission, easy enough to walk around with some signs describing the fort. Great views of St George's and the island.

There's not particularly much to see here, but it is a nice view at sunset. You can see over the town of St George and most of the Western Beaches!
