The water was cold, but even our 1,5yr old managed, so just man up :) There’s a basin at the start, where you can just float around a bit. Whenever you’re ready, go into the ‘cave’ for a pretty cool experience. You need a life...More
I went there with a few friends and we had a great time! The staff is super funny and kind and they provide you with safety gears such as life jackets and And swimming tubes for just a small fee.The water is very nice and...More
Titou Gorge was something great to be looking forward to after hiking to Boiling Lake. We went in with our hiking clothes and came out fully cleaned and refreshed. The gorge is wonderful, very understandable it has been used in the PoC movies!
A word of warning.. after you've become accustomed to the warmth of the Caribbean sea, this water is freezing!!! But don't let that put you off! It's more than worth it to get to swim through this beautiful gorge and discover the water fall within....More
This gorge is really beautiful. Although being not long (about 100-150 meters) it shows another side of the beauty of Dominica. You can hire swim vests at the entrance (which is recommended as the water is not too warm. Through the narrow gorge, you end...More
Titou Gorge is an outstanding place of natural beauty. To see it at its best you have to swim into the gorge where the waterfall cascades through the natural chimney. Don't worry however as there are helpful assistants on hand to guide you through, and...More
It was well signed, but after asking we made it down the track and parked up right by the entrance, where there was a few parking spaces, with more further down the hill.
We hired a float belt, now mandatory, but swam up without a...More
We had heard that this excursion wasn't visiting the Taj Mahal or the likes of the Great Wall of China, but it seriously was a fun swim in a short gorge in very cool waters. It ended at a small waterfall that we were able...More
Very nice spot after a drive through the rain forest and seeing the other falls. We did the botanical garden/Trafalgar Falls/Titou Gorge trip. Very scenic and a chance to immerse in some beautiful crisp water. We are all very good swimmers and still used the...More
Exciting place to cool off in a rushing stream for strong swimmers. You can swim up to a waterfall beneath tall cliffs that almost touch and for the daring climb up and jump off into a deep pool. Swimming skills are a must as the...More

We also used a Tillak Kiwanda Dry Bag and took our valuables in the water with us. As an added precaution, I also put our phones, keys, money and credit cards in an additional Pelican box inside the dry bag. Be sure to roll the bag at least 3 times to ensure a good seal. I also kept some air in the bag so that it would float on top the water. Nothing ever got wet and we never had to worry about our stuff getting stolen. NOTE: You cannot submerge the bag otherwise it will get wet inside, the front little zipper pocket is not waterproof, I would get a light color as black absorbs heat making the bag hot inside which is bad for electronics also if you get yellow it acts as a flag so boaters can see you easier.
We also brought a cheap $10 sports equipment net for carrying our snorkel gear in. It doubled as a sandal bag we could take in the water with us so we didn't have to worry about someone stealing our sandals (it has happened before).
